Mainland Machinery Announces Distributorship with WAM, Global Leader in Bulk Material Handling Solutions
ABBOTSFORD, B.C. — Mainland Machinery Ltd. has announced a new strategic distributorship with the WAM Group, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of bulk material handling and processing equipment. Through the new agreement, Mainland Machinery will serve as a distributor and service partner for WAM products across British Columbia, expanding the company’s ability to deliver integrated industrial solutions for customers in sectors including ready mix concrete, forestry, biomass, ports and terminals, feed processing, and manufacturing.
The WAM Group was founded in Italy and operates in more than sixty countries worldwide. The WAM name is internationally recognized for its standardized, high-performance equipment for bulk solids handling, conveying, mixing, dust collection, filtration, and processing applications. The distributorship allows Mainland Machinery to combine WAM’s trusted equipment portfolio with Mainland’s own expertise in industrial services, custom fabrication, installation, and field support.
“People in our industry know WAM, and they trust WAM,” said Paul Hiebert, President of Mainland Machinery. “Their name conveys value, and so we’re very proud to partner with them in the B.C. market. The distributorship aligns with our goal to provide customers with the best possible solutions backed by responsive local service.”
“People in our industry know WAM, and they trust WAM,” said Paul Hiebert, President of Mainland Machinery.
According to Mainland Machinery, the distributorship is especially valuable for industries where equipment reliability, predictable lead times, and rapid turnaround are critical to operations.
“WAM’s products are standardized, plug-and-play solutions that are engineered for reliability and quick deployment,” said Brian Dyck, Sales Representative at Mainland. “For many facilities, especially in ready mix and industrial processing, downtime is extremely costly. Having access to proven equipment, available inventory, and quick-turnaround replacement solutions allows us to support customers faster and more effectively.”
“WAM’s products are standardized, plug-and-play solutions that are engineered for reliability and quick deployment,” said Brian Dyck, Sales Representative at Mainland.
Dyck also noted that WAM’s product offerings align closely with Mainland’s existing industrial service capabilities.
“The distributorship enriches the level of service we can provide,” he said. “In addition to conveying systems, WAM brings proven solutions for dust collection, filtration, mixers, screw conveyors, and other bulk handling applications. Combined with our installation expertise and field service capabilities, we’re able to offer a more complete integrated solution for industrial customers.”
Founded more than fifty years ago, Mainland Machinery has built a longstanding reputation throughout British Columbia for industrial fabrication, field services, and bulk material handling systems. The company’s experience supporting industrial operations across agriculture, aggregates, mining, biomass, and manufacturing sectors made it a strong fit for WAM’s distributor network.
“We’ve spent decades building relationships and supporting industrial customers throughout the province,” said Hiebert. “WAM values distributors who can provide not only equipment, but also technical knowledge, troubleshooting, installation support, and long-term service. That’s where Mainland brings value to the relationship.”
